Engineering Project Manager

Job Title: Engineering Project Manager

Based: Ballymount, Dublin 12

Reporting to: Engineering Director

Purpose: To manage the engineering and site expansion projects relating to the bus connects programme.

 

Key Responsibilities and tasks

 

  • Lead transfer and addition of fleet in collaboration with QC Manager and Engineering Manager
  • Managing fleet registration programme to include PSV registration and stand permits
  • Liaising with the NTA and system providers to support the onboard vehicle systems
  • Support large infrastructure projects alongside group property and procurement teams
  • Providing weekly project updates to Engineering Director
  • Work alongside project team to ensure all timelines and projects are delivered on time and to budget

 

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

Essential:

  • Experience of working in a similar sized operation
  • Relevant engineering qualification
  • Clean and valid driving licence
  • Ability to understand and execute training and instruction
  • Ability to operate safely in a workshop environment
  • Good project management skills

Desirable:

  • Experience in transport operations

 

Competencies, desirable traits or attributes:

  • Highly motivated
  • Has a demonstrable engineering background within the Motor Vehicle sector
  • Good knowledge of IT systems, Microsoft word and excel,
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Decision maker
  • Good communicator
  • Clear and concise written skills
  • Organised and efficient
  • Positive attitude to safety
