Minimum Requirements
• Valid Full Irish B/Car Licence (held for a minimum of two years)
• Over the age of 21 years old (to comply with D Licence regulation)
• Pass a written English assessment test at the interview
What will you earn as Trainee Bus Driver in Greater Dublin?
Begin your journey with a starting pay of €14.40 per hour during a brief training period. Upon completion, your hourly rate increases to Band 1 at €17.40, with enhanced rates of €20.88 on Sundays and Bank Holidays. As a Qualified Bus Driver, you'll progress through 5 pay bands.
Training Schedule & Process
Trainee bus drivers will work a 5-day week during their training (approx. 8 weeks)
• 1 week in-house classroom training with a dedicated classroom trainer
• 4 – 6 weeks bus training with Approved Driving Instructors
• Driving/CPC test
• Route learning/mentoring with operations
• “Go-Live” in service
