Dervla McKay – Managing Director

 

Dervla McKay commenced as Go-Ahead Ireland's Managing Director in October 2023. Dervla has significant experience in bus and coach operation in both Ireland and England, having held a variety of senior management roles in the industry since beginning as a graduate trainee in 2005. Dervla's responsibilities at Go-Ahead Ireland include leading the management team and the business to ensure that our services are delivered throughout Ireland. 

 

Ciara Gallagher - Head of People 

 

Ciara Gallagher is the Head of People and is responsible for HR, training, and internal communications for Go-Ahead Ireland. Ciara has over 15 years experience in HR across a range of sectors with a large number of employees.

 

Gary Bond – Engineering Director 

 

Gary Bond, who has over 30 years of experience in the transport industry, is the Head of Engineering and is responsible for fleet maintenance, exceeding the National Transport Authorities' performance requirements, and assuring continuous improvement. Gary is additionally in charge of engineering, property, and facilities procurement and administration.

 

Niamh Swords – Operations Director

 

Niamh Swords is the Operations Director and is responsible for all aspects of service delivery and ensuring we operate a safe and reliable service for our customers. Niamh has responsibility for meeting and exceeding the National Transport Authorities performance obligations. Niamh has a project management and HR background and before joining Go-Ahead worked in New Zealand.
