Job Title: Programme Manager
Based: Ballymount, Dublin 12
Reporting to: Managing Director
Purpose: The purpose of this role is to oversee a broad range of projects to support the Go-Ahead Ireland business to achieve its strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities and tasks
- Strategic Alignment: Map individual projects to overarching business strategies and corporate goals.
- Governance Frameworks: Define, implement, and police governance rules across all active projects.
- Dependency Management: Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, and overlapping workstreams.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the master programme budget, funding channels, and capital allocation.
- Stakeholder Relations: Act as the primary liaison between executive leadership and project teams.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify, track, and mitigate program-wide risks and operational blockers.
- Benefits Realisation: Measure and report on the tangible financial and operational value delivered by the programme.
- Team Leadership: Act as a key point of contact to encourage cross-functional team collaboration.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Essential:
- Methodological Knowledge: Mastery of structured frameworks like PRINCE2®, Managing Successful Programmes (MSP), or Agile.
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to translate high-level executive vision into operational project plans.
- Financial Acumen: Advanced skills in budgeting, cost monitoring, and building business cases.
- Communication: Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills tailored for all levels of an organisation.
- Tools Proficiency: Expert use of enterprise software like MS Project, or Monday.com
Preferred:
- Years of Practice: 3–5+ years of project and programme leadership experience.
- Scale: Documented success leading complex initiatives with cross-functional dependencies.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related technical field

Key General Responsibilities:
