Storm Éowyn - Public Transport Disruptions
3 months ago
On Friday 24th January 2025, public transport is expected to be severely disrupted – including cancellation of services – as a result of the Status Red Warning issued by Met Éireann relating to Storm Éowyn.
Public transport including bus, tram and train services, will not be operating when the Status Red Warning is in place. Services in the hours before and after the Red Warning takes effect are also likely to be severely impacted.
Precise details as to when the Status Red Warning takes effect in various parts of the country, and its likely duration, are still emerging from Met Eireann. As NTA and the transport operators get further information we will be in a better position to provide greater clarity on the impact of services around the country. Services in the hours before and after the Red Warning takes effect are also likely to be severely impacted.
We urge customers not to undertake any travel without checking that services are operational.
For customer care support, please contact the Transport for Ireland team. They will be available tomorrow from 06:00 AM to 21:00 PM via X (Twitter), and from 07:00 AM to 19:00 PM via phone and contact form.
