Job Title:  Facilities Supervisor Night Shift - Kilpedder

Based:  Kilpedder

Reporting to:  Fleet and Asset Presentation Manager

Purpose and scope: To supervise the cleaning and shunting team, ensuring the maintenance of high-quality cleaning of the fleet and premises to achieve operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities and tasks

  • Schedule and coordinate the facilities team to ensure all areas and equipment are clean, facilities are maintained and any repairs are completed as required
  • Supervise the cleaning, fuelling and shunting to ensure all vehicles are fuelled, cleaned and parked during daytime activities
  • Manage the vehicle cleaning programme, ensuring that no vehicle exceeds its cleaning intervals
  • Control cleaning material stores to an acceptable level, ensuring rotation and safety in storage
  • Communicate effectively with the operational and engineering team members as required
  • Clearly instruct, guide, train and support the cleaning and shunting team to ensure all procedures are followed as expected
  • Responsible for first line maintenance on all ticketing equipment daily
  • Carrying out Depot Daily Inspections, ensuring a review of depot facilities and vehicles is carried out
  • Record all cleaning records and defects found in a clear and concise manner
  • Maintain all reporting, forms and logs as required
  • Report all incidents in line with Company policy and procedure
  • Liaising with 3rd party contracting staff, ensuring all required documentation is completed.
  • Carry out any other reasonable instructions given by the Fleet and Asset Presentation Manager or other management staff
  • Ensure Health & Safety standards are followed at all times, including safe parking practices and use of PPE.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

Essential:

  • Experience of people management
  • Category D driver’s license

Competencies, desirable traits or attributes:

  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Computer Literate with good knowledge of Office 365
  • Experience in a fleet related role.

General Safety Responsibilities:

To act in a manner as to ensure the health, safety, welfare, environment and fire safety of yourself and others in the organisation as well as any clients and visitors.

Ensure your working environment is maintained in a safe and tidy condition.  To act proactively in identifying and any unsafe practices or safety risks in the organisation and reporting these through the appropriate channels.

Ensure adherence to all relevant company and Go-Ahead group company policies and procedures.
